Following the example of the English ManVFat Soccer League, Viktoria Aschaffenburg offers everyone interested the opportunity to participate under the name ViktoriaVsFat.
ManVFat football is for men who love football and want to lose weight. In the future, Viktoria Aschaffenburg will help you to lose weight and to complete a 60-minute training course every week (varied, both with ball and coordinative). The unique thing is that you should not only encourage ManVFat football to play football, but also because you lose weight.
The new program is aimed at overweight men of all fitness levels. Join in on your own or with friends and see how 95% of our players are likely to lose weight.

Green ... it always goes greener

It was not long before I persuaded Mai to get her a bike and occasionally go on a bike tour in this beautiful weather. We quickly found what we were looking for on Facebook in the Aschaffenburg flea market. In Babenhausen a bicycle, or rather a mountain bike, was offered to a FIAT working designer. Hardly any signs of wear and good in shot. 90 Euro and the bright green mountain bike quickly changed hands. At home, we had already built the bike rack on the Daimler, so we could pick up the bike easily. The next day we drove the first 25 km. From Großostheim to Aschaffenburg in the Schönbusch. Better said in the beer garden and then back again. I did not want to expect more kilometers in May. The second small bike tour took us in the other direction, to Obernburg am Main and back again. Here are a few impressions of our previous bike rides.
Trip to Grefrath: Lina's first birthday
Although my granddaughter had already on 27.05. her first birthday, but due to professional appointments we could ... Mai, Mum, Michelle and Maurice ... us only on Thursday, the 30.05. on the way to Grefrath. Father's Day ... so to party to North Rhine-Westphalia. A well-launched Lina, who astounded and delighted us all through their running sessions. But unfortunately a bit shy of the whole stranger. We do not see them that often. But that too will happen someday. After the gift-giving procedure, enough coffee and cake and a long walk, the Aschebersch gang drove home again. Incidentally, have I already mentioned that I hate the Mercedes Navi and the construction sites in the Ruhr Valley? Since the word roundabout gets a very different meaning. (Großostheim, 11.06.2019)

The first weekend in Germany is approaching and on the 25th of May the time has come. Not only the final match of the Viktoria, with Heimrecht am Schönbusch, but also the stadium premiere of May. For the first time in her life she attended a football match LIVE in the stadium. Well ... unfortunately, Victoria lost the final to Bayern's Amateur Cup 0: 4 in front of nearly 6,500 spectators. Absolutely chance against the Würzburger Kickers from the 3rd league. We still had fun and son Maurice was also there. (Großostheim, 11.06.2019)

back in Germany ... the first days back

Sunday, May 20, 2019, Bangkok. Already got up relatively early to pack the bags quickly, neatly to pack. After all, it's all about a journey of almost 10,000 km from Southeast Asia to the heart of Europe. Dramatically represented, I know. It goes from Bangkok to Frankfurt. After my arrival on the 15th these 4 days on site for me relatively quickly over. Quickly cook a coffee, means ... quickly heat the water with the stove and a packet of ready mix coffee, sugar and milk powder ... stir ... done! Down in the lobby and wait for Mai's uncle. He drives us to the airport. But, not as usual too early and over punctual, he leaves himself today exceptionally much time. Mai calls him and learns that he is still having breakfast and is also taking a shower. Nervousness, otherwise a foreign word, is spreading. We are already considering ordering a taxi, but we decide to wait for him and his van. Finally he comes and shuttlet us to the Suvarnabhumi Airport of Bangkok. It's only 5 minutes if I drive, but 20 minutes if uncle drives. Check-in and security, as well as passport controls go smoothly and relatively quickly, so that we can even make something the duty free zone unsafe. And then at some point the boarding started and we were finally on the way to our Germanic home. Relatively modest weather awaited us in Frankfurt. Mai froze right away and asked why the winter was still there, while I waited coolly with her shorts and T-shirt shivering with her on the transfer bus to the parking garage. For the next few days, May was just hard to jet-laid. In the evening at 8 o'clock was actually 1 o'clock in the night in Thailand, she was already asleep on the couch. But the next days promised weather improvement and we started our first trips, both professionally and privately. Soak up some sunshine in the Schönbusch, visit your mothers and have dinner in the favorite Thai restaurant ... and then on the weekend your first LIVE football game in the stadium ... Short-Trip to Phetchabun

Short trip. After arrival, on 16.05.2019 at 13:30 clock went with Mai and her uncle directly to Phetchabun. Nearly 11 hours flight, because a few shrewd Indians are fighting in the region around Khashmir, Thai Air flies a huge arc around this war zone. With the result that the flight takes just over an hour longer. Totally done I was very friendly received by Mai's family. After a short "hello" we drove to the hotel about 5 km away. The following day, from my side only CHILLEN was announced and so we spent the whole day in the house of Mai's mother. In the evening I fulfilled my promise and cooked for all, there were about 20 people from family and neighborhood, spaghetti bolognese. All the ingredients I had brought from Germania, even Parmesan cheese. What can I say, it all tasted and after a short time were 2 kg of pasta including sauce and cheese past.
The next day we went back to Bangkok. There we quartered ourselves near the airport, because in the evening we were with 2 uncle and 2 aunts to eat on the way. There was no beer or alcohol on this day. It was once again a Buddha Day. Sunday morning one of our uncles picked us up and we visited 3 temples, about 2 hours from Bangkok. The pictures represent only a small part of the impression. Monday morning 20.05., Everything was packed and we were ready for the return flight to Germany.

Visit from the Allgäu ... Cousinchen Caroline and her Josef

Cousinchen Caroline had registered as a guest. With her on the way, her friend and partner, Josef. They started on May 1st in Missen im Allgäu and arrived in Großostheim in the late afternoon. The inflatable guest bed was once again grateful to use and so I gave them the upper floor of my apartment, including the bathroom. Many brought the food with them ... sausage and, above all, cheese from a cheese factory in the Allgäu ... who should eat it all? After setting up the guest room, a piece of strawberry soil and coffee, I went to Aschaffenburg to my mum. They picked us up to go to the Hamburger Fischmarkt in Aschaffenburg. Backfisch in Biermantelteig with potato salad from the lighthouse (Kult !!!) with a Frisian-bitter Jever on tap ... a dream. On the second day they were in and around Aschaffenburg on the way for sightseeing and in the evening I cooked a huge pot of spaghetti with tomato sauce, to Italian red wine of the variety Nero d'Avola. Many discussions, especially topics of former times were amusing pastime. And after 4 days the two of them went back to the Allgäu, where snow had already been announced in advance. Great variety, great guests ... anytime again!

Semi-finals Bayern Toto Cup 2019

Stadion am Schönbusch ... Tuesday ... 18.30 ... our Viktoria in the semi-final match of the Bayern Toto Cup against the highly-priced lion from Munich, the TSV 1860 Munich. Viktoria - 4th league against 60 Munich - 3rd league ... David against Golliath. Record attendance this season at Schönbusch. With 5850 spectators, 1000 of whom are fans of the Munich lions, the stadium was not sold out, but there would not have been much more space. It was, especially the older ones among us, reminiscent of the cup fight 30 years ago, against the former Bundesliga leaders 1. FC Cologne, where they won surprisingly 1: 0 in the DFB Cup knockout stages. A sensation was in the air and perhaps also remembered, the many fans of the Viktoria poured into the stadium at the Schönbusch.
The fan clubs, with blue and white plastic flags for all, had come up with a choreography to motivate their own team even more to deliver a good game. After things are not going so well in the Bavarian league in 2019. But after 12 minutes, Victoria put forward and scored the 1: 0 by captain Simon Schmidt. Even totally enchanted by the lead, 7 minutes later they even lost 2-0 to our Viktoria. But like most of the time, you lose the power and control of the game. So it came about that the Munich lions came up to half time on 2: 2. Sensational here the hammer from a good 25 meters directly and unsustainable to the lower edge of the crossbar and into the goal.
After the break, it was initially balanced, but the Victoria earned the more compelling chances. And indeed. In the 82nd minute, there was a handball game of a sixties in the penalty area and the referee whistled penalty immediately. Of course Björn Schnitzer did not miss this chance. Tor ... 3: 2 for Aschaffenburg. Now they fought, including the 4 minutes stoppage time, in the final of the Bayern Toto Cup. Here the Viktoria expects the FV Würzburger Kickers on May 25th. Old men's bike tour: The bike season 2019 is open

Friday night ... WhatsApp by Manfred. Haste Bock riding a bike tomorrow? So it came to the knowledge, that it came to this alt-men's bike tour. So meeting place agreed. Departure 9.00 am Großostheim with the destination Frankfurt. After about 10 km, the first stop was the bakery Dölger in the industrial area of Stockstadt. Strengthened with a coffee Manfred was here already totally hypo and urgently had to take a piece of bee sting - it went on towards Hesse national border. Always along the Main, the Mainrad-Weg, with the next stop in Seligenstadt. After intensive consultation with the morning coffee an ice break was planned in Seligenstadt and carried out there on arrival. Although a ball of ice costs € 1.30, these are not balls, but almost handballs. After the huge ice cream portions and already crossed the national border, we rolled on towards Frankfurt. Next scheduled stop was somewhere in Hanau. And right on the Mainrad-Weg was a beautiful beer garden in sight, which we aimed at quenching our thirst and stopped. Äppelwoi ... and for me a non-alcoholic wheat is supposed to bring back minerals for the energy consumed - to a very nice, friendly service, what a short break for a short break. Cheers ... and then on. In agreement, we decided to Thomas, Manfred and the Mats to drive through Frankfurt, because in Offenbach, we really wanted to stop. So we came to the Frankfurt Main bank and drove quite unerringly to the Äppelwoi Wagner in Sachsenhausen. Hessian typical dishes such as, potato mash with sauerkraut and liver, black pudding, Kassler and / or Haxe. This, of course, again the local swine, brand Äppelwoi. After this intense break we were all hurt by the bike-virgin-buttock. We cycled to Frankfurt Süd station and took the train back to Aschaffenburg. From the main train station in the home we still had to cycle 15 km towards Großostheim with the aching buttocks. An ordeal. Next stop, the beer garden in Schönbusch. On a ... Radler. Through the beautiful landscaped garden to Großostheim was then probably the culmination of the agony for the rump. At about 17.30 clock we were back. The kick-off for biking in 2019 was done. Walking on Sunshine - #V I S I T   A S C H A F F E N B U R G

Good Friday 2019 - and the weather is right on time for summer 2018, so very warm. It's 25 degrees today and to sit around at home in the booth, it's really too bad. After grabbing a fish from Aldi's icy cold-frozen fleet for today's holiday ... some will not know, but on Good Friday you should not eat meat ... and have prepared lunch today with a home-made cucumber salad, decided I will take this trip without further ado. Of course, my Picci (Picci - derivative of Pictures (camera) for my Canon EOS 600D) was included. Her first assignment this year, but not her last. (Großostheim, 19.04.2019)

EnkeLina visiting Opa ...

Great children's evening with me Dahoam. Actually, we wanted to celebrate my mum's birthday with me. But unfortunately she was prevented by a very strong flu and so we improvised at short notice and star of the evening was not my mother, but my granddaughter Lina. With a big children's evening is also meant that my kids Michelle, Maurice and Sibylle and son-in-law Jan were visiting. Now that the Thai food turned out, we decided to make Thailand from Italy at short notice and ordered the Italian. What a pain ... all Italians in Grossostheim had closed this weekend, except for one who gave only the busy signal of the phone because of overload. At some point, after more than an hour, we made the breakthrough and were able to get rid of our hungry order. Lina was in a good mood that day, and did not bother with her aunt (Michelle) and her uncle (Maurice), but this time not with her grandfather. All in all, a very nice evening with my loved ones ... often! (Großostheim, 08.03.2019)

... again in Selb

As so often a visit to Birgit`s grave in the cemetery of Selb. A sad moment in which so many beautiful memories come back. But I like to go back to spend a few minutes with her. Everything else in Selb is unimportant, but still familiar. The streets, the shops and sometimes you can see a familiar face. The only reason to drive in Selb today is like Birgit.
